Can't decide between a laptop and a tablet ? Get both with a 2-in-1. We here at gift feed have prepared a list of the best 2-in-1 that you can buy in 2021, including Chromebooks, convertibles, and powerful 15-inch versions. Whether you want something that's more tablet than laptop or more laptop than tablet, there's one here to meet your needs and budget.

HP Spectre X 360 14.

The Spectre 14 is the best 2-in-1 laptop ever. Newly released for 2021, the 13.5-inch model builds upon its predecessors but adds useful new features including a 3 to 2 aspect ratio display and 11th Gen Intel CPUs with Iris XE graphics. It combines Core I5 power with 8GB of memory and a 256 GB solid-state drive. Spectre boasts a stunning design, bright and vivid 1920 by 1280-pixel IPS and 3K 2K OLED display options. The laptop's left edge holds a USB 3.2 Type-A port. You'll find two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports on the right side along with an audio jack and a microSD card slot. It has a generously sized touchpad that is silky to the touch as well as a comfortable keyboard, excellent security options  including fingerprint sensor and facial recognition. The Spectre X360 14 is the best laptop if you want a convertible notebook with a flexible design.

Dell XPS 13 2-in-1.

This 13.4-inch convertible laptop is basically a screen, keyboard and touchpad, available with Intel Core i7 or Intel Core i3 processor options. The 11th-gen Intel Core I7 processor and Iris Xe graphics make the XPS a top performer in its class. It offers a native resolution of 19 20 by 12 00 pixels, which is a bit higher than full HD. At just under the three-pound limit, it feels solid, though not bulky. With an 85% screen-to-body ratio, the XPS 13 2-in-1 is also enviably modern-looking. The screen bounces very little, and the touchpad doesn't suffer from the sluggishness or cheap-feeling clicks. The Dell's audio quality is rich and full, but the placement of its stereo speakers on the bottom of the laptop makes sound a bit muffled in laptop or tablet mode. The Dell's 51-watt-hour battery charges in around two hours and delivers more than 10 hours of battery life. Nevertheless, though it's not perfect, the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 is the best premium convertible you can buy.

HP Envy x360 13.

The HP Envy is one of the first laptops to sport AMD's latest fourth-generation Ryzen U-series processors. The Envy x360 13's touch-screen display measures 13.3 inches diagonally and is only available in 19 20 by 10 80 pixels. Inside, the Envy x360 13 offers a choice of AMD Ryzen 3, Ryzen 5, or Ryzen 7 processors, 8GB or 16GB of memory, and up to 1TB of solid-state storage. It has a comfortable keyboard with a two-level backlight. In addition to the two USB Type-A ports, there's also a single USB-C port, a headphone jack, a power port, and a microSD card reader. The top bezel is slightly thicker to accommodate a 720p webcam with a built-in privacy shutter.  The Envy's three-cell, 51-watt-hour battery can deliver upto 13 hours in a single charge. The HP Envy is a great pick for anyone looking for a great two-in-one laptop that's small, stylish and easy to travel with.

Lenovo Yoga 9i.

Lenovo's 14-inch Yoga C9 40 is one of the best in its category. It packs an 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11 85 CPU, 16 GB of ram and a 512 GB SSD. The Shadow Black model gets a glass palm rest that extends across the deck with an embedded fingerprint sensor and a haptic touchpad that vibrates when clicked. The full-HD display is nice too, with color good enough for average photo and video editing. Included is a small active pen that stores and charges in the rear right side of the body. The pen has a new elastomer tip that adds some friction. The rotating soundbar hinge returns to the Yoga 9I, delivering clear audio irrespective of the laptop's orientation. When it is time to charge, it does so quickly via one of the two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports on the left side. The 11 plus hours of battery life means you can use it for a full day without refueling. The Yoga 9i is an excellent 2-in-1 laptop for those who need power in a portable package.

Microsoft Surface Go 2.

This is essentially a Chromebook version of the first Microsoft Surface Go. Powered by the dual-core Intel Core M3 8100 Y clocked at 1.1 GigaHertz, it does handle most tasks well enough. Needless to say, video editing and gaming are off the table. The model features a Pentium Gold CPU, 4GB of ram and 64GB of e MMC storage. The Duet is built around a 19 20 by 12 00 pixel resolution display with a 16 to 10 aspect ratio. For video calls, there’s a 5MP camera on the front and the back. The Surface Go 2 measures 0.3 inches thick and weighs 1.25 pounds. For my daily work, which revolves around the Google Suite, I could get over 5 hours worth of work on a single charge, which is above average. Battery life is in the ballpark of what Microsoft promises, which is up to 10 hours. As long as you set your expectations appropriately, then you should be reasonably happy with the performance of the Surface Go 2 as a budget device.

Acer Chromebook Spin 713.

As affordable as it is, the 713 is no stripped-down economy model. The Acer Spin comes with an Intel Core i5 10 210 U CPU, 8GB of ram and 128GB SSD. Besides, it offers a crisp and clear 13.5-inch, 22 56 by 15 O4 pixel display. There's no stylus, but the flip-and-fold 360-degree hinge makes it easy to switch among laptop and tablet modes. The keyboard feels a little too small for the size, making it best for small hands, such as those of a child. The Spin 713's speakers are located on the underside, which doesn't get you great sound. Weighing just 3 pounds, traveling around with the Acer Spin wouldn’t be difficult. It's also the first with Thunderbolt 4 support letting you connect to multiple external displays as well as giving you fast data speeds and networking. With 56 Watt hour 3-cell Lithium ion battery, it provides an exceptional battery life of nearly 12 hours. If you don’t mind a laptop-cart look, the Chromebook Spin 713 is an incredible value.

Microsoft Surface Pro 7 plus.

Though it launched way back in 2019, the Surface Pro 7 remains the most recent main entry in Microsoft's line of hit detachable 2-in-1's. That base configuration comes with an Intel Core i3 G4 CPU, 8GB of ram and a 128GB SSD. The tablet's touch screen still comes in at 12.3 inches on the diagonal with a 27 36 by 18 24 resolution and 3 to 2 aspect ratio. On the right side is a USB Type-C input alongside a USB 3.0 Type-A port and a magnetic Surface Connect port for charging and docking. There is also a SIM card slot for 4G LTE connectivity just above the SD card door under the kickstand. There is still room for improvement. For example, the Surface Pro 7 plus display bezels are chunky, storage and ram upgrades are inexplicably expensive, and there is no Thunderbolt 3 port. Still, this is one of the best 2-in-1 devices around, and an excellent choice if you're traveling.

Lenovo Chromebook Duet.

It's by far the cheapest 2-in-1 device on this list, and easily the best value you can find. It's base model has a Mediatek octa-core Helio P60T processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The Duet is built around a 19 20 by 1200 pixel resolution display with a 16 to 10 aspect ratio. At 10.1 inches, it’s a typical size for a tablet, but if you’re trying to use it the way you’d use a work laptop things get cramped. Along with the USB-C port on the right, you've got a volume rocker and power button. There are 2-megapixel front-facing and 8-megapixel rear cameras. Webcam and mic performance is nothing special, but certainly good enough for team video chats. Since it only weighs about a pound, it's light and small enough to play handheld games. Battery life is in the ballpark of what Lenovo promises, which is up to 10 hours. If you're looking for something for pure mobility or as a secondary device, this is a smart choice.

Microsoft Surface Book 3.

The 15-inch version of Microsoft's Surface Book 3 is a stunning technical achievement that packs a powerful Nvidia GeForce GTX 16 60 TI GPU into the base of a detachable 2-in-1. With that kind of graphics muscle, you can edit 4K videos or create professional 3D animations while you are connected to the keyboard and then pop the screen off for some drawing or note-taking. The Surface Book 3 comes in either 13.5-inch or 15-inch display sizes and many different internal component configurations. The entry-level 13.5-inch version has a 10th Generation Intel Core i5 processor with Iris Plus Graphics, a 256GB solid-state drive, and 8GB of memory. Wireless connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 6. The display alone weighs just 1.59 pounds, though that jumps to 3.38 pounds when you attach the keyboard base. It offers a decent battery life of around 7 hours. All in all, the Surface Book 3 feels very much like "a serious computer for serious business."

Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 15.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Flex 15 sports the world's first QLED display, which means you'll get to feast your eyes on a color-rich, super-bright screen, and you won't have to sacrifice too much battery power to get it. This laptop comes with a 10th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD, which are more or less the minimum requirements for top-end laptops in 2021. It has two full Thunderbolt 3 ports on the right side and one USB-C only port on the left, which means you have more flexibility in your connection options. The 13-inch version of the Galaxy Book Flex weighs just 2.5 pounds. Battery life is quite good, lasting an average of 11 hours between charges during the work day. If you want a solid, flexible and adaptable convertible laptop, with long battery life and plenty of power, the Samsung Galaxy Book Flex is what you should go for.
