Koenigsegg Gemera Mega-GT Coupe

Four seats. Eight cup holders. 1,700 horsepower. The Gemera is the world’s first Mega-GT and Koenigsegg’s first four-seater. Extreme megacar meets spacious interior and ultimate environmental consciousness. The Koenigsegg Gemera is a new class of car the company has dubbed a "Mega-GT", merging supercar specs with luxury sedan comfort.

It can comfortably seat four adults and there’s also enough space to carry their luggage. It’s actually a hybrid car that, according to its creators, “outperforms most two-seat megacars, both combustion and electric.”

All four seats can be accessed easily via the giant wing doors, and inside riders are treated to wireless phone chargers, on-board WiFi, an 11-speaker sound system, and central infotainment displays front and rear.

Speaking of the powertrain, power is supplied via 2.0L, twin-turbo three-cylinder engine producing 600hp and three electric motors — one on each rear wheel with another on the crankshaft — outputting 1,700 horsepower (1,268 kilowatts). A sprint from 0-62 mph takes just 1.9 seconds, with the top speed of 248 (400 kph) approaching in record-matching time. 

Thanks to its 800-volt battery, the Koenigsegg Gemera Mega-GT Coupe can travel up to 31 miles (50 kilometers) in purely electric mode. More impressively, it can reach speeds of up to 186 mph (300 kph) while running on electric energy. All the power remains easily controllable thanks to an all-wheel steering, all-wheel drive, and all-wheel torque vectoring systems.

The Swedish company will build 300 examples of the Gemera with pricing and release details TBD.
