ZOOX Fully Autonomous Electric Car

Zoox, the self-driving car company bought by Amazon in June, has finally unveiled its prototype of its autonomous car. The driving style of the autonomous vehicle is an all-electric, all-wheel-drive car that is sedentary and similar to the fully autonomous vehicles being developed by other companies in space. Although Zoox's robotic taxi is the same size and shape as its real-life counterpart, it has been completely overhauled to illustrate what Amazon might think of a service called Hail Service.

At just 3.63 metres long, it is in stark contrast to Cruise's larger, box-shaped Origin robot, which is owned by General Motors.

To differentiate itself even further, Zoox has worked in recent years to equip its autonomous vehicles with forward, backward, side by side and in-direction driving, and to equip them with a range of safety technologies, including airbags, collision detection and collision prevention systems.

The vehicle is capable of performing the same level of autonomous driving as a human driver, but at a fraction of the cost and speed of a conventional car. Zoox also claims that its vehicles are, by all indications, the first of their kind that can drive up to 75 km / h, with the aim of one day bringing them onto the motorway. Unlike most of these early autonomous cars, their robotic taxis are not equipped with safety technology.

The interior of the Zoox is less cold, and there is also air conditioning with temperature control, airbags and air conditioning. The sensor suite is designed to allow the vehicle to see objects up to 150 metres away.

This provides a 270 degree field of view, virtually eliminating blind spots and ensuring redundancy in the event of sensor failure, "says Zoox.

 The ceiling is patterned with a starry sky pattern, and a comfortable bench facing inwards is surrounded by fabric that looks like a structured structure. Under the seat there is a cupholder and a wireless charging mat, through which you can see through to the driver's side of the car. The seat also covers what Zoox calls a "radical rethinking" of the way airbags work, which means a radical rethinking of how they work.

The robot taxi is powered by a 133kWh battery, which is about the size of the battery of a normal electric car, Zoox says. The small touchscreen on the seat is the most obvious technology inside, and Zox says passengers will use it to control everything from the speed of the car to its speed, acceleration and braking to steering.

That's a lot of juice to help Zoox and Amazon achieve their shared goal of creating a ride-sharing service with a cost-effective, fast ride-sharing service. The company is currently testing a prototype of its self-driving vehicle at the University of California, Santa Cruz, as part of a pilot program. This is just the latest in a long line of goals that zoox has pursued since its founding in 2014, and for several years before stumbling into a legal battle with its co-founder and CEO, which eventually fell apart.

The e-commerce giant has put a lot of money into a fleet of electric cars, the start-up Rivian, and is essentially building its own autonomous vehicle fleet, as well as working with the company on a fleet of all-electric vans. Of course, Zoox is just the latest in Amazon's ever-growing foray into the market for autonomous cars. The company also has a partnership with Autopilot, an automaker that has just acquired Uber's self-driving car division.
